OK, Just going to do a whole big run-on blog about all my doings. My Mom ended up staying an extra week and of course that whole time I ate whatever but I did work out consistently. AFter she left I did ok on the food front but really slacked my workouts to 1hr about 3x/wk. Which is ok if you watch your eating and want to stay at the same weight.
All I can say is that I've been eating like a maniac. So I ended the BL at 218 lbs. I was hovering around 224-226 but this last week I weighed once and it said 230. I don't know. I am doing this thing at work where you try to get 10000 steps every day. They give you a pedometer and you have a team of 7. That's all you have to do. We compete with other teams around the world and there are prizes. I don't think we'll win anything. Mostly bc other countries like china and India are involved and you know they walk or bike everywhere. That's a little motivation. But also BL 22 is starting this week I believe so I should be back in hardcore mode. All I know is I really want to go on vacation but I won't go if I don't lose this weight. I'll be darn if I go to a tropical island and still have to wear tshirt and jeans bc I'm too fat.
I don't know what my regimen is going to be. I'm thinking of doing low carb for a week and then get back to cal counting/eating healthy. Common sense stuff. I think I might be depressed too. Which I'll get your take on it when we talk since I haven't actually went to the dr yet. I want to see what you think. Ok that's it for now. Will try to blog at least every 2 days.

Umm...yah.
Worst case scenario: You've lost all motivation since the BL contest is over. You're still hitting the gym, but you're not feeling it like you were earlier in the year. You haven't stopped eating since your mom left. Your engine was going, going, going for 4 months but now you're out of steam and don't really care. You know you've gained since BL, but you're scared to step on the scale. Plus the OT/computer busted thing.
I copied this from your blog, which is the only one I've read to date and that pretty much sums up the whole. Remarkable accurate, almost to a "T". Scary and comforting you know me so well. The intro to the next biggest loser is starting tomorrow. I can't get motivated to do anything really, including blogging and responding. I plan on at least doing that much tomorrow. I feel terrible bc I see that you've been at it or at least blogging and I could AT LEAST support you. Tomorrow is get my sh!# together day. So until then....

PS...
So I went of facebook to tell you that I finally blogged but since you're on hiatus you probably wouldn't get it til Memorial Day. I'm guessing texting is the only way to reach you. I'm sure that my phone is dead and somewhere in my ginormous backpack. So when I finally get it cleaned out I'll text you. Mom decided to stay another week...which means I'm pretty sure my nutrition part is going out the window for another week. Not even going to pretend to try and be healthy. However been slacking on the workout front and will at least restart workouts tomorrow. Ok that is it... I will check to see if there are comments though.

Why is it summer?! Plus Other things...
This was a post i started and didn't get to finish and saved in drafts so it's a little dated in the beginning.
Ok..last wk in the 40s and 50s. The weekend PERFECT spring weather, mid 70s. All this week 80s and today it's 89. Hot as hell. Seriously, that's the one thing about VA, Spring is always too short but this yr is just ridiculous.
On a side note my Mom came down to visit and is staying for 2 wks. She retired bc the dr wanted to send her back to work but her eye still wasn't closing and she said she didn't feel like arguing with him. It looks alot better but still isn't closing properly. Oh and since she is here she's going to help me with a garden, she can get anything to grow.
Today is the last WI for BL SP...so here it is:
Lasts Wk: 223.4
This Wk: 218.4, -5.0
My name for the SP challenge is Indy, and this is the results post:
Week 12 Biggest Loser was Indy at 2.24%
Overall Biggest Loser is Indy at 10.49%!!!!! (She lost 25.6 lbs)
Our awesome Outlaws who finished in the top 100 (out of over 600 participants) for BLC 21:
11th - Indy - 10.49%
37th - Nancy - 7.94%
51st - Aubrey - 7.35%
80th - Denise - 5.98%
I took this off our thread. I literally have been working, working out in the yard or hanging out with my Mom this whole time. I haven't been working out or eating right. I'm scared to weigh in.
My whole body was on fire from tilling, weeding. I am just now over the soreness. I took pictures of the yard to show what I was growing. I planted a fig and persimmon tree. Then we have regular and grape tomatoes. Korean melon (Sprite, I think in English), Korean squash, cucumbers, korean lettuce. So I'll see how that works out.
For my workouts, Not sure right now my Mom has thrown my whole schedule in a loop. I am going to try to get back on track SUN. I probably am going to take a break from blogging too. I just have too much to do right now. Maybe I'll start back on May 1.
I'm going to go back and comment on your blogs but that's it til May and recoup! Ok talk to you soon.

WI home
Last wk WI 220.6
This wk WI 217.0, -3.6 lbs
Wooot! Out of the 220's ! I went as far back as JAN 2010 and still was in the 220s. I'm going to have to look for all my little notebooks to see the last time I was at this number. It's been a while and the yrs keep going faster and faster so I didn't realize it had been that long.
So apparently we only get 2 days of spring (Sat and Sun in the 70s). Then it's summer time bc it was 83 today and I cannot deal with that right now. It was entirely too hot. I need a gradual increase PLEASE. Any how I ran the harder trail today, 4mi nonstop and it took me 58min. I'm stopping the C25K. I thought if I'm dying at mile 3 then I continue with the program but if I'm ok and I can go further then I'll look into something else or do my own thing.
There's only 2 more days left of the SP BL...there's a hiatus and a new one is going to start on June4. I'm thinking of doing another one. It really holds me accountable the only thing is I have virtually no time for anything else. I might modify it the next time. I just wanted to give it my all this time to see how I do. Any how in between rounds, I think I'm going to focus on the 8K. It's June 2 and since I'm avg 3-4 miles now, 4.97 should be doable come June.
I've actually been eating under range just bc I want to do well on this last challenge. I will not get a perfect score, you know it kills me. And my all or nothing 'tude almost kicked in. I was like well I didn't do what I wanted so I might as well do what I want. However, after my mental hissy fit, I kept on track. FYI, it was a bingo challenge again, and I missed 1 square for 7 hrs of sleep. I just ran out of time to get a nap in, my car is clean as a whistle though. And this is the one that put me over the edge, almost. I missed staying under my sodium 2300 mg by 17mg. Yep I had 2317. Any how, I'm on track now and tomorrow is my last chance wo and then last WI on WED.
As of now my standing is #1 on my team for lbs lost. And #23 (dropped 4 spots from last wk) out 643 people challenge wide. I'm making the big push!
Ok off to get ready for work and yeah...I'll send you thing sometime. lol

Got Behind...
So let's just say Easter didn't stay on Sun...it went to Mon, Tues, and little on Wed too. I was tearing up sweets and just for full disclosure I bought some Easter candy--50% off. I absolutely have no exscuse. Cadbury mini eggs, Cadbury and Lindt chocolate bunny, Ferrero (however you spell it) Rocher eggs, Ghiradeli (again however you spell it ) chocolates, Starburts tropical and FAVEreds jellybeans. I had some of everything except the bunnies and tropical starburst jellybeans.
The good news this is the last week of SP BL. I finished my last Thusrsday challenge. Now I'm on to my last WE challenge. I was trying for a perfect and already messed up. Not bc it was one of the harder things to do but bc I didn't read carefully and missed giving a teammate a spark goodie. You know I'm competitive like that. Grr. Which brings me to Dukan. Dukan is on hold bc this challenge requires eating fruit and veggies. Also bc Easter lasted 4 days and I would've had to start over anyway. I am going to do the 10 Attack phase...and this is probably TMI. But pooping was pretty much nonexistant. Then go to the Cruise Phase. I don't know that I'll keep at it like he said. Still debating that part. I might just use it as a ramp up and every so often do it. Nothing concrete yet.
Oh and SP WI
last wk 226.6
this wk 226.4, -.2
Really lucky that I didn't have a gain. That .2 I don't consider a loss. It was probably helped by last weeks challenge of getting as many workout mins as possible everything from yoga, dancing to kickboxing counted. I ended up with 954 min for the week.
I worked OT last night, so I can't think of anything I might've left out. If so I'll be back on later to blog some more. I'm going to take a nap before I start the day.

Oh Dear, Part Deux.+ WI
So I did end up eating Easter Dinner but only 4 oz of ham, 1 c macaroni, 10 aspagus in addition to what I already had. And some Korean BBq beef. I did not end up working out.
Work
WI last wk: 227
WI this wk: 221,-6 (Yippeee..just think how much it would have been had I kept up with the Dukan for ONE day?! I probably could've been in the teens.)
So the net total lost for Work is 34lbs in 12 Wks!! Yay.
You know how I celebrated by tearing into everything I didn't eat on Easter. Here's the bad stuff I ate:
Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream Cake, Cheesecake named Desire -YUMMY!
2 more Cake balls (1 each kind)
No Papa Johns Pizza cuz it was gone Thank you Jesus!
1 serving of Starburst tropical jelly beans
6 lifesaver gummies, bunnies & eggs
4 cadbury chocolate mini eggs
1 oz rice cake
Still in range amazingly amazingly. Worked out like a maniac. I've been up all day but wanted to get this down before I get a quick nap in before work.

Dukan't...Apparently!
So the Attack faze is supposed to be pure protein without extra fat only. It lasts at MOST 10 days. If you are 40lb overweight, you do 10days. Still not that long, and all I can manage is 5 days. I will say I did good for the circumstances. All week there's been : M&M cookies, strawberry whip cream cake, red velvet cake. Then Krystal came home on Sat and she brought homemade red velvet cake balls with white chocolate frosting and vanilla cake balls with chocolate frosting and she brought a raspberry cheesecake ice cream cake. Pam's birthday was yesterday. I still resist. I decided to work Fri and Sat night bc I need the money. Before I leave Sat they order 3 different Papa John's Pizza. I still do not eat. I came home this morning (Sun) and I actually debate with myself and I eat the healthy meat I have. Not hungry but I want something else So I first eat just the cheese off the cheese pizza. Cuz it's protein (has fat but better than carbs). Then I debate some more...I decided to eat the sausage and pepperoni pizza. That gets the ball rolling....I decide to eat just 1 of each cake ball. Then I decided to have 2 of each. Then i just ate a corner of the strawberry frosting of the cake. And had the ice cream cake been defrosted a bit, I would've eat that too.
So no workout yet. I might try to get one in. I'm still debating Easter dinner. I weigh in at work tomorrow...but I could work out extra hard. I don't know. So that's it for now. No work tonight. So yay about that.

Motivational Article
I thought this was an interesting article that one of the people on my spark people shared. It can be applied to the "whole" of your life not just weight loss.

I especially like 2. Be responsible. The price of innocence is impotence. Of course I'm looking at this one for work. 3. Forget what you don´t want – Focus on what you want. As far as weight loss I can focus on what I look like and that's not a problem but for life and work things in general it usually is what I don't want. And the example with the bear is funny bc I was really trying hard. Lastly 4. Take one eye off the ball – Go for the gold. I'm so focused on day to day...I need to have a big lofty goal to work towards-big dreams.
Just my quick thoughts for the day. This article was shared by the same lady who wrote the Consistency blog. I'm working OT tonight just need the money really bad. But still have 2 nights off that I won't be working. However after this point if I want to get some things done it might be OT every WE both days. Also, I am now able to pick up on my little activities tonight I'm starting Hula!

SP WI +
So I waited until I finished all my workouts to weigh in bc initally all I have was a .6 loss.
SP last wk 225.6
SP this wk 223.6, -2
I don't know if I told your the exact break down of the SP challenges but the week start on WED, which is WI day and rest day. Thur is the first Challenge TNT (tighten and tone) just try to do as many strength rep and each rep is a point, then its WE challenge (Fri-Mon) and differ teams come up with nutrition/diet challenges and assign point to them , Tue is LCW (last chance workout) This is get as many exercise min as possible.
Since this is the next to last week, It's basically get as many workout minutes possible from Wed to Tue. TNT and LCW are just incorporated in that and there is no WE challenge as a result. However this is motivating me as well as the diet thing.
I checked out the blog. I totally get what she's saying....but it's just easier to do with "motivation". I understand it's a slippery slope though cuz if it's gone what do you do. I know what I do...I eat!
Ok I am dog tired between yesterday and today I've done 325min and if I get up early enough I might do some more. I think I might have strained my ankle...it's sore when I do certain movements. I'll ice and elevate and see what happens..
I thnk holding off on the homework would be great. Work is over on Mon (yeah right after Easter) and only 2 more wks on SP.

Way!
So I started day 1 on Dukan...basically. I totally ran out of time to cook actual meat but had Plain Greek Yogurt (on the list) and splenda and bought Oat bran (1.5 T req. every day). So that's what I ate...I needed to keep it light anyways bc of SP weigh in. I had a .6 loss but I'm going to go workout before I make it official to see if I can get at least a solid pound this week. There are 645 people participating in the SP BL and I'm #21 on % of weight loss overall and the top loser on the Outlaws team so far! Yay! I don't want to lose that bc today is week 11, next to the last week. WOW! That went by fast.
Also, I am keeping track of LT. Darn that method I used was pretty darn accurate. It said I should start on the 23 and I started on the 22! My eating did go out the window....but I consciously did it. It wasn't like a surprise. Now to work on that "oh I don't care attitude" is going to be harder. I know what I'm doing is detrimental but I literally at that moment don't care. Any ideas?
Also, I started C25K day 1. It was so easy and I like that. I'm not doing the rest days so hopefully that won't affect the running so much. It shouldn't bc really I'm not starting from the Couch per say. Anyhow will update on weight after I go burn some calories!

Home WI + New Diet
Ok will the SP always has a WE challenge F-M and usually has some kind of eating thing. This time it did not and I went to town! I ate whatever, whenever! So I expected a gain and got a whopper of one.
Mon 3/18 226.6
Mon 3/25 229.6, +3
Now what have I done since then to get it back. Nothing. Eating the same, but went to the library and browsed different dieting books. I came across the Dukan Diet and remembered everyone talking about it during the Will and Kate wedding. So I checked it out. The first phase is Atkins to a "T" with the exception of not allowing fat, so no cheese, processed meats, fatty meats like ribs, duck, etc. It only lasts 2-10 days. The big difference I see, I'm only a quarter of the way thru is that on Atkins there's no timetable and there's no concrete instruction on when to move on. It's like stay in this phase until you get to your ideal wt and then gradually add 5g of carbs for a week, if you lose wt add another 5 if you gain that is where your carb threshold is. On Dukan, It's spelled out. Everything from the amount of time at eat stage (there's 4), what to eat at each stage and how and when and what to do for maintenance part. It's for someone like me who doesn't want to do the legwork. I know it's a gimmicky diet but I only have one week left on the work WL competition and I need a Big loss. Also I lost tons on the Atkins when I did it faithfully but got bored with it, so I'll see what this one does for me. My last WI for work will be 4/2 and I'm going to do the Attack Phase for this whole week (once I get the stuff today). The big thing about this diet is there's no counting calories and I can eat as much of the approved foods that I want. So if you want to do a food homework/competition thing, I can figure out something comparable to cal counting.
The workouts are going ok...I still haven't found that class that I love in the afternoon. I keep trying to make the 9am classes but I totally oversleep. I think it will be afternoons for now. I did a 30m hula dvd, completely easy, yesterday. I'm going to ripped at 430 today. I'm doing the c25K program too. So if I can get to the gym early I'll start day 1 today.
Oh and I still haven't sent out your thing. I'm going to ....probably this weekend.

Catch up!
Ok, I didn't even look to see when my last post was so if I repeat..Sorry!I'm thinking I'm just a week off. So here's the WIs:
Home:
Mon 3/11 229.8
M 3/18 226.6, -3.2 (not as great as it looks- that was my SP 3/13 WI & goofed off all WE. more on that)
SP:
Wed 3/13 226.6
Wed 3/20 225.6, -1
Work: this should be incredible bc WI every 2 wks but it's not...pathetic and no exscuses
Fri 3/8 228.0
Fri 3/22 227.0, -1
It is the eating that is killing me. I have to take responsibility for my actions bc no one is putting a gun to my head and making me eat. BUT I have no will power and IF I was living alone I think I would be so much more further along. I might stop along the way to or from something to get something to eat. But if I have a craving I'm not one to hop in the car and go to the store to get it. Way too much work for me. That being said this week Em had a couple of functions at school and she brought the leftovers home bc they were just going to throw the food away. These gallon freezer bags were stuffed, so I get where she is coming from. I'm talking chicken tenders in one, veggie eggrolls in another and bbq meatball in another. Also 2 solo cups filled with really soft oatmeal raisin cookies and chocolate chip cookies. REALLY! But it would've killed me too to see all that perfectly good food go to waste. But here's the flipside, everyone will eat it for about a day, maybe 2. But then it just sits there until I eat it. Blah!! Good news I finished off the oatmeal raisin cookies and most of the chocochips. Haha. Bad news we still have chicken tenders, egg rolls, and meatballs--the meatballs are REEEDICULOUS good.
We have 2 more weigh ins for SP and I more WI for work. The one at work ends April 2. I can still do really well I just have to dig in...or NOT dig in, if you will. I'm going to really start watching everything tomorrow. Workouts have been a little wonky. Last time I was on 3rds I would workout right after work and stay up til 2 or 3 and then go to bed. But this time around I've been going to sleep first, wake up and go to the gym between 4 and 7 pm. There's no way I can make the 6ams I love but a couple of the 9ams are ok. The afternoon ones I'm not so sure about. Even the same class with same instructor (differ Y) the class isn't as hard. Like maybe the instructor is tired by the afternoon but I don't feel the need to push. I"ll figure it out. I did 1 afternoon yoga that's a no and a step class that's a no. So at least I'll get variety while I try to find a routine. Also, excited and have a little butterflies but the Y is offering a training program to run an 8K which is 4.97 miles. It's like $35 and then on June 1 there is a race which you have to register for separately on your own but I'm thinking of doing it. I got all the paper work. So that might be the next thing.
Great job on doing IRELAND...even though you switched a couple of things really proud you at least had it in you finish. For that I will be sending something in the mail. You know hopefully soon but sometimes that pot of gold likes to sit around and procrastinate. I'm thinking MON.
Also, Yay for going to the gym! It is easier going with someone isn't it? How is Roshell, btw? You guys reconnecting on the workout front. I know she can be hardcore too. So if she is still, that should help you.
Ok that's it for now. I don't know how blogging next week will go but it should be smoother than this week.

On 3rds
I started 3rd shift Sunday night and I'm still getting adjusted. My workouts are fine but my eating is wacky doo. I'm doing a quick thing before the weekend where I can really catch up. Just wanted to let you know what was going on and of course still doing the SP. Only 3 wks left and 4 wks at work. Ok..Promise to write more this weekend.
Sunday, March 10, 2013
Well, found something.
On ehow they gave step by step approximation and I'm going to use that until I have a more accurate picture. But you can totally give me a more immediate homework if you want. So my next three estimated start dates are March 23, April 20 and May18.
I read like 4 articles but the one that I like most is actually dealing with body building women who are fit but I think the principles are pretty sound. Here's a link if you want to take a look. It's not very long and pretty interesting:
I'm not quite sure what my action steps are going to be. I know that I have to curb the eating but the article gave an idea about being really good the 2 wks before and then not really worry about LT week. Obviously not go over board. I think the wk before PMS, I'm usually under a few days. Then the wk of PMS, I go crazy and the wk during I'm ok. The problem is it looks like my psychological stuff coincides with crazy to make me not care and I'm not sure what to do about the hormones.
Any way just writing out loud. I am going to pay more attention to how I feel and react and when along the month. So Step 1: write out in a journal an very detailed description of what's going on. Once the pattern is figured out, I'll move on to action steps 2 and 3.
Ok I have some SP stuff to do so I'll write more tomorrow.
Saturday, March 9, 2013
Blah!
This is a quickie I have to work at 5am tomorrow which is really 4am . And it's 1137pm but really 1237 am. Darn DST. I tried to figure out when my next LT time is going to be alot of sites with automatic calculators but I have to know the how many day in between times and I haven't a clue. Maybe I'll wait til next LT and try to figure it out that way? I look into it some more but just wanted to let you know I'm working on it./

WIs + Review
Last home WI 233.2
3/4 home WI 231.2, -2 lbs
Last SP WI 230.8
3/6 SP WI 228.6, -2.2 (WOOT! out of 230s!)
Feb Review:
I did ok in Feb. I weighed 234.0 on 2/4 and ended up at 230.8 on 2/27. Down a total of 3.2 lbs this month, though not even 1lb a week. I know I had some hellacious eating days, so an overall loss is pretty good. BUT I definitely do MUCH better.
Year in Review:
Starting wt on Jan 2 was 251.8 and as of today Mar 4 228.6 which is a grand total of 23.2 lbs. Not bad for 3 month almost 2lbs a week. Again definitely can do better but it could be worse like a gain or I could still be at the same weight. I just need to step it up.
I haven't worked on your homework yet but I will probably tomorrow. I'll probably have a little more time.
That's it for now. Oh, and my eye was fine by the afternoon. I don't know what it was, I thought it was going to be a sty luckily it just went away.
Off to get ready for work and eat something healthy!

Only Your Homework
DO NOT PANIC! This homework
blog is only super long because I got creative. It did start off short and
sweet but the more creative I felt I just added a lot of fluff for your enjoyment.
HOMEWORK: March 11-17
This week ends with St. Patrick’s Day. To CELEBRATE
this holiday, cardio is going to be taking place in “I.R.E.L.A.N.D.”. Watch out
for those sneaky leprechauns. They try to put unmotivational mojo on you! Any
unmotivational, unproductive thought that comes into your mind is being planted
by them. Do NOT let them get the best of you for this one week. If tasks are completed, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow will be yours! So let’s get
started. Each letter will correspond to
a PHYSICAL activity that is to be completed each day. “I” on MON, “R” on TUE,
“E” on WED, etc. This should be your second week of exercising
so you should be able to push yourself a little harder! J Also, blog to let me know how your doing.
“I”- For Monday,
your first stop is in the city of Intervals.
With its jumping nightlife, you can go to the many fast paced raves or the equally
abundant slower paced jazz clubs. I recommend you switch back and forth between
the two. Your Task: At least 15 min of interval exercise. Intervals are
when you switch back and forth between a harder exercise and an easier
exercise. The hard execise is half as
long as the easier exercise. Here are
some examples you can use: Walk-reg. pace, 2m; walk-fast pace, 1m; walk-reg
pace 2m, jump rope 30sec; or you can combine both of those; make up your own.
Here’s a link for more info on Intervals and at the end of the article there is
a link to show more examples.
Part of Article: “Did
you know that strength training is crucial for successfully losing weight and
keeping it off? It doesn't have to be a
huge, hulking workout where you're trying to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger in
his prime, it just has to be some basic strength training.
Why is strength training important
for losing weight? Most believe if you
have a calorie deficit, you're going to lose weight, if you consume extra
calories, you'll gain body fat. While that's true, it's only part of the
picture. Sure, you need a calorie deficit to lose weight, but how does your
body actually use calories? It's your lean body mass, that muscle mass
underneath your body fat, that burns calories 24/7, allowing you to actually
eat more calories without gaining weight.
Let's say you happen to be quite
obese and you have a high percentage of body fat…underneath that body fat you
actually have a very strong skeleton and strong muscles. Your body has built up
those muscles in order to carry all of that extra body fat when you move your
body. Just the very act of standing up, walking across a parking lot, going up
a flight of stairs or lifting your arms requires more effort when you're
overweight, especially if you're obese. So the heavier you are, the stronger
your muscles have to be just to allow you to do basic, everyday things.
Now this can actually work to your
advantage -- if you manage to keep all of that muscle mass and bone density in
place while you are losing body fat... This will leave you with a greater
proportion of lean body mass to body fat, meaning that you will be slimmer, yet
you'll have the muscles that you had when you were overweight.”
“E”-The scenic
beach town, far away from the city is Endurance. You'll see nothing but beach and water for
miles around this town. This is your Wednesday destination. Your task: Pick any and all physical
activity (jump rope, trampoline, walk, jog, dvd, etc) and rack up minutes. You
are trying to get as many minutes as possible today. It can be broken up in 10m (5m for something like jumping rope,
hopping-not walking unless it’s speedy), if you like. Think of this kinda like
a Last Chance Workout without the weigh in.
This should be you highest physical activity day of the week. BTW, anything that gets your heart rate up
counts. So if you have to take stairs at work and it takes you 2m add that 2m
to your total workout minutes.
“L”- The fourth
destination is the slower paced, quaint little country town of Lunges and Lengthening. This town makes
you feel like you’re in Mayberry with Andy, Opie and Ant Bea. The people are friendly & everything
moves at slower pace. Your task: Do 3 sets of 10 or 30 total
lunges (each leg). This can be broken up thru out the day or all at once. Link
on lunges: http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercises.asp?exercise=22
The Lengthening task is to do a 10 min warm up and then
stretch each muscle, holding the stretch a few seconds. Do this for 10min at
least 3 times this day AND/OR do a yoga DVD or sparkpeople yoga video (which might even be easier) .
“A”-The fast
paced city of Aerobics and Abs is
your Friday destination. With its skyscrapers and millions of people, it has the
feel of NYC. Your task: For Aerobics, pick a dvd and do it. Go old school like Jane
Fonda, perky pants like Denise Austin, hardcore
like Billy Blanks, any number to choose from. For abs, I need 50 crunches any
style: regular, twists, bicycle. This is in addition to the dvd. If the dvd had crunches, great but you can’t count those
towards the 50. Again, do them all at once or spread out throughout the day!
“N”- Your trip is
winding down and you need to relax. No better way than to go to one of the
finest bed and breakfasts called No
Activity and Nutrition. It has cute color themed rooms. One to your liking
might be the firefly room with different shades of yellow. Get your massage,
mani and pedi on! You’ve worked hard all
week! Your Task: Focus on resting those muscles and concentrate
on your nutrition. Follow the eating
guideline you set out for yourself.
“D”- Final destination
in I.R.E.L.A.N.D. lands on St. Patrick’s
Day! It’s very fitting that your last spot to visit is the fun, touristy city
called Dancing. People leave here happy and in good spirits. Good
food, Good drink and Good shopping! Your
task: This is an “active rest”
day. You can go as hard or easy as you’d
like. I remember you have a dance dvd
hopefully you know where it is. But you can also do Zumba dvd or youtube,
salsa, line dance, turn on your own music and shake your booty, etc. However
you like but at least 30m, continuous or broken into 10m. When you're done get yourself a little green drink!
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S
DAY!
Tips: Sparkpeople has a ton of videos if you just don’t feel
like messing with it. Youtube is surprisingly good with the workout vids
too.
Please blog and let me know how you do each day. Ask if
there are questions.

Cutsey!
The link worked and it was oh so cutesy! I printed off like 5 pages and was like darn, it's times like these I wish I worked an office job. My computer is super slow and I should probably invest in some more ink! I want to print all 100 pages. I think I'm going to type my answers and then if something comes to me later I'll just add in writing. I am so not technological...I tried to save the book to my usb but it would only save it if I copied the page to word andsuper slow computer was frustrating me. Anyhow I'll just print 5 pgs at a time and do it that way.
I totally didn't track nutrition yesterday. This weeks WE challenge was as far as nutrition was to get 5 serving of fruits and veggies. Good for me bc that's easy and bad for me cuz obviously if they don't require tracking on WE, I won't do it. I got another 30 day shred by Jillian bc I haven't been able to find my old one since I moved like 3 yrs ago. It obviously will not turn up. Good news is it's only 5.99 and when I don't feel like going to the gym I can still do something hard core.
Today is much better! It's still cold but it is all sunny so no reason not to get things done today. I probably won't go out today though. I woke up with a my right eyelid swollen. IDK, I look like I have Down Syndrome on the one eye and I don't feel up to people looking. Hopefully that is a fluke and by tomorrow, all will be back to normal.
Ok, so home weigh in tomorrow. Let me know what your having problems with and I'll think of a homework. And I guess that's it!

Cold, Dark, Rainy...
I am not motivated to do anything! I did go to turbo kick and got my workout out of the way. But what do I say every single month and then I'm like oh? Duh.. Looks like that crazy binge eating and emotional crap had to do with PMS. Cuz gues who started today? REALLY? Is it going to be like that from now on? Cuz I don't know if I can handle a sucker punch every month.
And yeah, I took a nap yesterday and basically laid in bed all the rest of the day. I totally did nothing! Trying to do something today. How are things going with you? Oh I just remembered the email thing I'm going to look now at that.
Later!

Weird...Work WI
OK so work weigh in was good considering I went CRAZY! I lost 3lbs from last WI--2.5 wks ago! So Work WI have been like this:
1/7: 255.0
1/22: 232.0
2/4: 233.0
2/22: 230.0
Yeah, I don't know why that binge happened. Literally have been racking my brain but can come up with nothing. I did stick to a veggie diet yesterday and came in at 1036 cals BUT I was full. Now don't get me wrong totally could've ate more but didn't. And that was just the next day. WTF. Nutrition wise today, I'm within cals but really not eating healthy. Had some white rice and some pancakes, again, not terrible but I can do better.
Ohh excited to see the ebook. Sounds pretty cool. Also I took a vacation day today. I need a mental break. The fam's not here and I don't have to be at work and all the stuff I should be doing like cleaning, decluttering , taxes are put on the back burner for now. I just need to nap and relax. Maybe work on my weight loss scapbook. hehe. Ok that's it for now.

3856...
That's the damage I did ... I did estimate higher on some foods just bc I didn't measure them out while I ater but I'd say as close to the real deal as possible. Before the binge-out I was around 1500 cal. So I ate in 30 min more than double the whole day cal count. :( Here's a list of all the fatty foods I ate. I'm not listing the healthy (I did throw a couple in there for good measure) and I'm not sayin the amounts (too embarrassing). Chicken fingers, beef smoked sausage, white rice, pringles and cake. Super high fat and super high sugar. Back on track for now but Work WI is tomorrow. I'm sticking to fruit and veggies and seafood....Hopefully.
OK off to cook some lunch and get ready for work!

I don't know what happened...
Ok did pretty well all day today. Then I got home started off with ok dinner and then it spiraled quickly out of control. I just ate an ungodly amount of food in like 30m. I'm trying to figure out why....I'm feeling a little depressed. Like how I talked about before thinking about where I am in life, my age, etc. I'm going to stop and try to put on paper what I just ate and did. I wanted to get this down so I have some accountablilty. Idk...the down feeling slowly crept in and as I was eating, I was like what are you doing? Alright, I 'm getting off now.
SP WI
WI for SP
2/06 234.8
2/13 238.4 (parents)
2/20 232.0
My team should be very happy with a 6.4 loss. Even though 4lbs of it shouldn't really count.
Just found out one of my favorite instructors is moving. I noticed she hadn't been teaching for a couple of weeks. Found out she had a stress break in her foot so no high impact and then she's moving. Boo! I liked her Wed ripped class. She was my "hard" workout.
Oh and work WI was suppposed to be yesterday but they changed the dates for everyone to Fri 2/22, Fri Mar 8, and Mon Apr 5. I went to WI yesterday just bc I was ready Plus it seemed like a unfair thing if I get a couple of extra days but no one was there so...hopefully I can make the best of the next couple of days!
Alright I have to go pay some bills....oh and blah totally forgot HAPPY BELATED VALENTINE'S DAY. I totally got a bunch of knick knacky stuff for 75% off at WM. No Candy though, that would be a horrible mix-up!

WI :)
Ok so drumroll please...232.4 a loss of 11 lbs.
WI:
2/04/13 234.0
2/11/13 243.4 (parents here)
2/18/13 232.4 (loss all the wt gained plus 1.6 extra from previous wks)
I am totally happy with this...but the same old thought process (habit) crept in and was like had I kept up with it I would be in the low 220s. I haven't been there since last BL. I think the week after it was over I got to 224.0. But TOTALLY HAPPY, about this number. I'll write more later, getting ready for work!

Ok, OK...
So I sucked at blogging last week. I did not get back the next day but it was pretty hectic. I worked over a couple a nights so one night I got home at midnight, missed wed 6am class but still worked out. The other night I worked til 2am and definately missed 6am class but did workout. I added a couple of yoga classes. One was gentle yoga, I ended up asleep at the end and they were waiting for me. I woke up cuz it was eerily quiet and when I looked around everyone was sitting up. The lady next to me was like don't worry you didn't snore. Ah well. The other yoga class was fit yoga. It definitely got the blood flowing. I think I'm going to try to keep these in rotation.
My eating basically sucked, it started with my parents coming in and really, probably I didn't get it under control until this SAT. I actually had a 4000+ cal day (pringles, mom's leftover korean bbq) and then like 3 days over my max between 30-150cal. So last MON WI was 234.0, this past MON 243.4. That's right over the course of the wkend I gained 10lbs! WED SP WI was 238.4, so I got my but moving and from MON to WED I lost 5lbs. Unfortunately, last wks SP WI was 234.8. That's a 3.6 gain on there and my name was in the Hall of Shame. As it should be. But I've been kicking butt this weekend and I'm hoping for any kind of loss tomorrow. Work WI is Tues. Wahh....
I actually exercised the whole time, so it just goes to show you CANNOT out exercise a bad diet. Lesson learned again for the billionth time. I'm still doing well. I think I am going to try to run some 5ks. I'm going to look into Couch 2 5k again. Can't actually run a marathon, if you don't run regular, right? We're posting inspirational vid/arts on SP and there were a couple motivational ones. I'm going to post them here to cuz, I think you'll enjoy.
I've been thinking about your homework and man you came up with a good one. It was really hard. I didn't want to go for something obvious like the butterfly. I wanted something fierce like a dragon (yr we were born) bc of its symbolism but I think that image has been so overused and played out, it's become a gimmick. Thought something symbolic like a phoenix rising from the ashes, but then was like too cliche, melodramatic. Then I thought how bout a sporty car. Like all the rage now is old body style cars (60s-70s) but they're new like 2013 version. You know like the mustang, challenger. But then I thought that's cheesy and I didn't want to be associated with old/nostalgic. But the winner is....drum roll, please...
DAFFODILS!
Yeah, you read right. Those are the first flowers that come out right? When we first moved into the house it was winter and that spring, we had 2 patches of daffodil like probably 6 flowers on each side of the house. But it was too difficult to try to mow around them and it just looked stupid with so little flowers that I just mow them over. But every year the stems pop right back up. The flowers might not appear (or I cut them down before they have a chance), but the stem grow pretty tall. This year with the pretty mild winter we've had, I saw the daffodil stems pop up like 2 wks ago. We've had a couple of snow days since and couple of really cold days and those buggers are still standing tall and just as green. They do not give up. Every year they just keep coming back. I might let them grow their flowers this year, they're so darn stubborn. So that's it. Kinda cheesy but it keep popping back into my mind and well why not? So there it is.
WI tomorrow, will blog even if it's just to tell the weight.

OK, sleepy and need to get some rest bc I have major work and damage control to do tomorrow.

WE musings...
For BL SP Yahtzee WE game, I got perfect 2 out of 3 days. I missed sodium the first day, so I decided to try to keep processed foods at a minimum. I was going to try to describe the challenge here but it really is a lot so here is the link if you want to see what I'm doing. Normally it's Fri-Mon but they tacked on Tues.

r-1DKo_m2j_GE1XWC2n3D22bwD5rw/edit
As I commented, did a little cheat on the snacks and just bought a lot but I did put them in individual snack bags. So here's the list:
Second Nature Celebration Medley -organic trail mix, high cals (need for low cal days).
180 snacks almond pops -all natural, gluten free, kosher, vegan basically cut up rice cakes.
Cajun creole peanuts in shell
Greek Yogurts
Special K Flatbread Breakfast Sandwhich
Clementine, Oranges, Banana, Apples
I also have cottage cheese, FF cream cheese, celery and baby carrots that I need to divvy out but I'll save that for tomorrow.
I worked out all WE. Today I did Ripped and Elliptical trainer and then came home and weighed myself in my sweaty workout clothes and came in at 236.6 (last Mon 239.4). So tomorrow should be a huge loss!
Ok, we did not talk this weekend but we really just need to do it. I'm thinking next Sat at 6pm. If that's good let me know.

Little note...plus homework!
The Inspiration blog was brought to our attention by the team captain (BL SP) and I loved it. So I told Blue I loved it and asked if I could print it out for motivational purposes. She was basically like sure...whatever it takes to keep motivated. I will be printing that one out too.
I put the link of the Bingo card up so you could print the original but I looked at it again and 1/3 the stuff really didn't apply to you cuz it was about SP things. I decided to leave the link up so you could look at the original, but I made some changes on the one here so it's more appropriate for you. I figured out how to change and copy it which is a miracle. Why would I do this? Because you asked.... and this is your new homework assignment! It was a WE challenge but I'm making it a weekly one for you. So here is the link & the original address (if link doesn't work) and then card below is the one I modified for you. Just let me know what day you start. Then 7 days from there is your time frame. Let me know if you have a BLACKOUT and I'll send you a little surprise.

Home WI (myself) 239.4 (-3.6) Total lost from day 1: -14.4 lbs!
BL SP WI (Wed) 237.2 (-4.8) Total lost from BL : -6.8
BL WK WI not this week...next Tues.
So far so good. I only ate 700 cals yesterday bc I got so busy in the morning and then only had time to make a really quick something before work. Couldn't get all the snack and things I wanted. I am avg between 110-120 min of workout time. On our last chance workout (LCW) day (Tues) I did 128 min. I did 60m on ET, 50m ripped, 18m on the bike.
Today I only got in 60 min PC and 45 min ET. Thurs is Tight and Tone(TNT) challenge where every rep we do is counted as 1 pt. However if you take a ST class you get 75 pts for every 10 m. So for 60m class that would be 450 pts. Which is what I had been doing. I didn't feel like counting all the reps. But for this week they added that if we do combination moves like squats with bicep curls then we get 2 pts. Well the PC instructor loves combo so I decided to count and it ended up being 667 pts. I was like darn I should've been counting reps the whole time bc I would've gotten a bigger score. That's the competitor in me...I won the TNT the first week. Then was 3rd last week. This week I want to blow them out of the water :p.
Last weekend challenge was bingo. You got point for each square you complete, along with bingos and if you filled up every square you got bonus points. I filled every square except the one with "get at least 7 hrs of sleep 3 days". This week is Yatzee weekend challenge. I'm Pumped. I think if I get some spare time I'm going to post what the challenges look like. I'm keeping a WL journal with the print offs and I'm going to try to incorporate pics. We'll see cuz we know how I do.
And I put up the inspirational blog. Enjoy. I will possible update more tonight.
Inspiration Blog
This is a blog entry titled Magic Trick by Sparkpeople user Blue42down.
It's been said before. It will be said again
later by others. It bears repeating.
There is really only one "Magic Trick" to improving our lives, and that is embodied in a single word:
CONSISTENCY
It is the magic behind Spark Streaks. When we start with it is so seemingly small.
What will one 10-minute workout do? What will one day of eating within a reasonable calorie range do? What will one night of 7-8 hours of sleep do? What will brushing our teeth twice in one day do?
It can feel like nothing much. There's no big flashing lights to celebrate that we did one small thing good for us for one day. There's no obvious non-scale victories that we can see and measure out of one time.
But then we apply the "Magic Trick" of CONSISTENCY.
Day 1 becomes Day 2 becomes Day 3. Even if we only make it to Day 7 before we slip, if we start right back over at Day 1 as soon as possible, it starts to add up in tremendous ways.
Day 1 is a snowflake. Beautiful and solitary, but not having much power beyond its uniqueness.
Day 31 is a snowball, able to carry an amount of force if thrown, holding the promise of a snowman.
One month of 10-minute workouts can have measurable results. What had us huffing and puffing and perhaps even cussing on Day 1 is likely to feel surprisingly easy on Day 31. (On my Day 1, I walked less than a mile in 15 minutes and danced 10 minutes. On Day 31 I walked around a mile-and-a-half in 22 minutes and spent around 20-30 minutes doing a small Strength Training workout.)
Day 100 is the snowman's lower body, a clear idea of the size and shape of things to come.
A season (thirteen weeks) of consistent healthy habits can have very visible results. For some that is weight lost. For others it is more energy, better ability to handle stress, getting sick less often, being able to walk further than the end of the driveway, or just feeling mentally alert. Depends on the habit, depends on the starting point, but Day 100 is almost certain to reward us.
Day 473 and I think I've almost got the head to set on top. I think I've only missed doing some sort of physically active thing one day - back in December 2011 when my foot was hurting badly.
Now, that's not Day 473 of being perfect.
Far from it.
I've had numerous days where I didn't eat as reasonably as I planned. I've overeaten by 3000+ calories OVER my range on a few occasions.
I've had days where I didn't really put my all into my workouts and was more on cruise control.
I've had days where I didn't get more than 1 or 2 hours of sleep.
I've had days where I totally failed to clean my teeth.
BUT, I never stopped through all those 473 days. I always accomplished at least something. I tracked every one of those days. Well, not even that perfectly. There are two recent days that my tracking was slipshod. I got completely behind on everything I needed to do and by the time I went to track I couldn't begin to guess if I'd had 3 of something or 4 or 9. I just estimated reasonably high (1500 over calories) and tracked what I could remember.
Consistency does not mean perfection.
If Day 7 is a complete wash, we have two choices.
The choice that emotionally destroys people over time is giving up because the streak ended. We quit. We don't try again until something motivates us - often something that hurts (physically or emotionally) more than "failing" at our streak did.
Think of those snowflakes combining together and building up in a snowball. Something happens that makes us feel like we'll never get it big enough - perhaps it rolls off the snow and onto bare cement. So we turn our backs on it and walk away. The seasons change and what we had accomplished melts away in the sun.
The better choice is found in consistency. Day 8 becomes a NEW Day 1, a fresh start to the streak, but we don't give up. Now we have a 7-day streak as a goal to beat. (Or it could be a 300-day streak we break. It doesn't matter which day, only that we get right back to it.)
Again those snowflakes. Instead of walking away completely, we get that snowball back on the snow-covered ground and keep rolling. We aren't starting fresh with a single snowflake (or handful) - we're starting with all the progress and momentum we have so far. It might be called Day 1 of the streak, but it is still Day 8 of the overall journey.
and build your future through CONSISTENCY
==================
And one last thought - CONSISTENCY needs to be about DO, not SAY. No matter how many times we tell others or ourselves we will do something, it won't get done until there is CONSISTENT action.
Ending with a semi-relevant quote:
** What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say. **

NOT SAME SAME-YOUR HOMEWORK
SAME SAME ...Why it's not true anymore.
1. The family picture fiasco. It was the first time I have ever had a negative physical reaction (tearing up) to seeing myself. It was a knee-jerk, first impulse reaction. I FELT really bad.
2. I think you might have mentioned this in one of your blogs too, but I just feel different inside. Previous years I would get excited and all hopped up on New Year's "fresh startness". The past couple of years that was also combined with panic and a sense of dread.
3. Me, Pam, and maybe the other sisters, Pam's BF are trying to go to the Dominican Rep. in July. Maybe even mom too. I decided this year since I have vacation time, I will use it for a proper vacay. Pam's BFF (Mimi) knows people and when they went last year, she got an all inclusive (food and drinks) for 150$ for 4 days. Split that with 3 people less than $40 a day and you don't have to worry about buying anything but souvenirs and plane ticket. Last year the plane ticket was like 380. So...if you want and can manage it then you're invited too. All that to say, my butt will be in at least, AT LEAST, a cute one piece this yr. Stretch marks and veins be damned. That's what waterproof body makeup is for. My ultimate hope is that I can manage a bikini.
TOP 3 GOALS FOR 2013: other than weight... but it is -100 lbs.
1. Fitness-I think I want to be certified as a fitness instructor. Now don't get excited. I don't actually want to teach any classes. I just want to have it and maybe do it at home. I don't even know what all that entails, maybe schooling too. If it does then I probably won't attempt it but if it's not something too rigorous, why not? Also, I've been thinking about doing a marathon for like 3 yrs. The lymphoma society has a thing where if you raise $2500 (3yrs ago) they train you, send you to the race (that yr they had one in VA beach, Nashville, New orleans, & out west) and you get a tshirt. They set up a website for you and everything. They gave you time to back out if you didn't think you could raise the ;money by the due date. It's usually towards the end of the year.
2. Completely vain but I want to wear single digit clothing. I was going to say size "8" but I figure shoot big so I'm going to say size "5". So I probably need to change my total weight loss to 120....
3. I've heard people say that losing weight doesn't change the problems you have. But I think that a lot of my problems stem from my weight, mostly. I will always be introverted but the shyness, not being confident in "getting out there and living" is from my weight. I'm not talking only dating, but things like taking voice lessons. I know I'm not a vocalist but it would be fun to learn, I think. Or joining the works kickball team. You know just to try new things. I don't want to be 80 and say, I had the opportunity to do (blank) but I was too self conscious or embarrassed etc.
4. BONUS*-The plant isn't doing well and Jan is the make or break month. I'm not sure what's going to happen but if a lay off does. I think I'm safe for a little bit bc I can always go back to wax. My personal hell. I would really be looking to work elsewhere and here recently there have been so many articles about weight discrimination. Earlier this week they I read about some study they did with differ CEO of million(s) dollar companies 4 or 5. In the study people would rate how effective a CEO was. They kept everything as controllled as possible (same gender, same age range, same credentials, etc) and the only difference was weight. The people who were overweight were rated least effective. Like there was a big gap. I'll take any little advantage should the need arise.
Ok that is it for me. NOW your homework:
Because you have an issue with working out, I'm going to have you do a progressive exercised. Each day doubling the min of exercise you do. I'm not explaining it very well so I'll just lay it out for you. Maybe you can print it as a reminder.
DAY 1: 2 min of exercise. That's it-120 sec of continuous movement. It can be dancing, doing wall push ups, squats, jumping jacks, doing a video, brisk walk. Whatever! I don't care what it is but it must be INTENTIONAL movement for 2 min. Of course you can do more.
DAY 2: 4 min of exercise. Same as above.
DAY 3: 6 min of exercise. Same as above.
DAY 4: 8 min of exercise. Same as above.
DAY 5: 10 min of exercise. Same as above.
DAY 6: 12 min of exercise. Same as above.
DAY 7: 14 min of exercise. Same as above.
BONUS* on DAY 7 in addition to minutes, also do a video that you have at home.
Obviously this is more to get you in the habit of moving and setting aside time for it. Hopefully once you get started you can keep it up. There isn't a need for rest day. YOU can do this!
Ok gotta wrap it up...off to do my other online crap!
