That's what I'm trying to be at least. I'm feeling very discouraged. Last week I basically doubled my workouts and ate well except when I got home. About 80-85% clean. So I think that a big loss, at least 5lb or more isn't too much to ask. So I did the weigh in yesterday and lost 2.2lbs. REALLY? I'm busting my butt for 2.2lbs?
Then I thought I'll take measurements. It's been exactly 9 months since I've started tracking my weight and trying to be healthy. I can compare them and maybe that will make me feel better. Not really. So here it is:
9/26/11..................................................................6/25/12...................................Loss/Gain
wt: 265.4...............................................................237.8......................................-27.6
neck: 16.0.............................................................15.5........................................-0.5
chest: 45.5.............................................................43.0........................................-2.5
armL: 20.25..........................................................19.0........................................-1.25
armR: 20.75......................................................... 19.5........................................-1.25
waist: 46.25...........................................................43.0........................................-3.25
hips : 51.25..........................................................47.75.......................................-3.50
thighL: 32.25.........................................................32.75.......................................+0.5
thighR: 31.75.........................................................32.25.......................................+0.5
L.belly:54.75..........................................................50.5........................................-4.25
So on the surface it looks pretty good, right? But not really bc you have to think 9 MONTHS! If I had lost only 4lbs a month/1 lb a week I would have been at 36lbs lost and if at 2lbs a week that would have been 72lbs. Sickening. At 2lbs, COMPLETELY DOABLE WITHOUT STRAINING, I would have been at 193.4. Under 200lbs, I don't remember when the last time that was and so close to being under 190. ON top of which I gained in my thighs. After 9 months really? I know it's good...I could have stayed the same, gained wt, blah, blah, blah. But really the air is totally deflated out of my balloon.
I will say to my own credit I did soldier on.....here's my stats for yesterday. Not perfect but it is what it is.
MON: ate fantastic until home and then went crazy. I had some chips and italian bread and white rice.
WO: I did 6am RIPPED (45m), 835 ab blast (20m), 9am RIPPED(40m), 945am gentle yoga (75m)
TUE: will update later.
Okay, all I can do is echo the stuff you already know to say. If you want a better comparison, I am back over 200 lbs. So yes, it could be worse. But I know it sucks to work so hard and not see it pay off. I'm just glad you're hanging in there! And hang in there just a couple more weeks for your diet buddy, because I'm coming back strong once this move is over!!!
