Total Meltdown Averted

Jan 29, 2012 Sun

Ok so I kinda had a meltdown earlier. I got up in the morning, before breakfast and decided to do a sneak peak on my weigh in for tomorrow. I thought I ate pretty good most of the week and I worked out in some very hard classes everyday this week. Unfortunately it's not going to show this weigh in on MON. I had gained 0.5lbs. *SIGH* Now I know my body is very stubborn about giving up the weight loss but this week was 80% good and I still had a gain! It was very demoralizing, I ate my salsa crock pot chicken with smart pasta and then I decided to have 2 big bowls of honey nut cheerios (it was with skim milk though). Totally not ice cream but....that's when I texted you because I felt I could do some more damage.

After the text, I decided I was going to take a nap. Consequently missing all your texts to get moving. I woke up at 230pm, read all your texts (thank you very much) and carried my butt to a walking trail. No it wasn't hard core but I did a brisk pace for 55min. We'll check it out when you come. I just had my Mp3 and was walking and relaxing. At 55 degrees with sun shining, it was just a perfect day to walk and think. It helped with my perspective and I went to library as a reward for doing something. :)

I really wanted a big loss but even if I had lost just one pound it would've been better for me. I don't want to have to measure everything and be so strict with my diet this early on. I wanted to wait until I got to that last 20 or 10lbs bc I know I can't keep that up the whole duration. I thought, if I keep in mind to eat healthy most of the time and still lose then I would be ok even with a small loss. But I can't keep doing it, if it is going to result in gains. So I'm rethinking eating strategy.

Oh Well.

Yeah, and your homework is to do charts too. Uninspiring, I know but wait til next week.I have to come up with something. Ok until next time.

  1. I got totally upset reading this. Not AT you, bur FOR you! That is soooooooo frustrating! Your stupid stubborn body. Is there a chance that if you carry on what you're doing (because you ARE doing awesome), after a couple/few weeks it will get the picture and let go? Hopefully. I don't want you to have to eat only like carrot sticks and baked chicken for the next year! That's craziness.

BUT I am so proud of you for averting the meltdown! Yes, started eating but it was totally not junk food, and you reached out when you needed to. Your body needed the rest and then you got up and moving! Sounds like a good perspective day even if it started out frustrating. Hang in there! We WILL be hot!!!!!!!
